With the vanishing sounds of "Stellar Surfing" echoing through the breeze, Kh3rtis puts down his instrument and proceeds to look around, seemingly surrendering to his fate.

Inhaling the cool, crisp air he notices a flicker of light and a faint booming in the distance. Intrigued, he follows his nose over a rock formation, scrambling over boulders, the sounds and light become more apparent. A flame, a bang of a drum. There is life here. By all accounts, this barren tomb world has existence.

Peering over the edges, down into the valley below, he sees humanoid figures clothed in white robes. Thinly veiled, some sitting around a fire, while others danced to the beat pounding from the drums and chanting in a tongue barely comprehensible.

Gently chewing on the tip of Acacia, Kh3rtis felt a warm, fuzzy feeling within. Deciding that this had nothing to do with the leaf currently hanging out of his mouth. He abruptly stood up and began his descent down into the valley. As he got closer, he looked towards the middle of the group. One figure in the centre moved in an oddly familiar way. Hips swaying in a peculiar 3 bar fashion with arms raised, wrists twisting to the flow of the chants in sublime harmony.

Kh3rtis stumbled on a stone, pulling his attention, when it returned, the mysterious yet familiar figure had vanished. Continuing down into the crowd he was greeted and welcomed by the robed figures. Surrounding him, laying their hands on him and seemingly directing their prayers towards him.

Moving to the centre he came face to face with a tall, spindly humanoid with blue/grey skin and deep dark eyes.

"Greetings traveler, you must be weary. Come sit by the fire and break bread with us. We shall share stories, together we shall learn, and grow".

"Marooned" documents Kh3rtis' time with this group while stranded on this tomb world and the conversations and lessons had with those who he came to know collectively as "The Exiled Followers of Matthew". A splinter collective, previously left to rot for their seditious perspectives on existence.
